Prof. Darius Ajai Frasure EdD, MFA, PCC

Dr. Darius Ajai Frasure is a poet, author, educator, scholar, and publisher whose writing explores the relationship among identity, culture, narrative, faith, memory, and human transformation.

His creative work includes the poetry collections stained glass medusa and of stone and rope, as well as the spoken word album Spoken Pieces. His poetry has appeared in literary journals and has been presented through readings, performances, and literary arts programming.

Across his writing, Darius examines both the intimate and cultural forces that shape human identity. His poetry moves between personal experience and larger questions of history, belonging, spirituality, masculinity, relationships, and the stories people inherit about themselves.

His scholarly and professional writing extends those concerns into leadership, education, communication, narrative identity, coaching, and human development.

As Chief Operator of Assure Press Publishing & Consulting, Darius's relationship with books extends beyond authorship. He has spent years helping writers develop their voices, shape manuscripts, and bring meaningful literary and educational work to readers.

For Darius, writing is not separate from his work as an educator, coach, and speaker. Language is one of the primary ways people make meaning, understand themselves, communicate experience, and imagine possibilities beyond their current circumstances.
